The development of the Platform will require a large number of design and engineering tasks, the creation of an institution for management, new legal and regulatory relations for its proper functioning, the re-organization of land and property rights and the resettlement of some persons and enterprises currently occupying the Platform site. | Project Tasks | ILS advice and expertise were delivered for two of the key tasks: Task 5: Administrative Land Re-Classification and Transfer Study, and Task 6: Study of Land Administration and Land Use Controls Specific tasks for ILS included: - Based on input from and discussions with the current cadastre design team, and an analysis of the preliminary land use plan for the Platform, ILS designed an operational model for cadastre administration during the implementation phase of the project.
- Incorporating results from Task 5 & 6, ILS prepared guidelines for the operation and administration of all aspects of the land-use GIS, for use by AMPMD (or the eventual Platform Management entity).
- Based on current practice in cadastre management in Senegal, and in concert with the ongoing national cadastre modernization program, ILS prepared guidelines for the integration of Diamniadio Platform and security perimeter GIS within the national framework.
