To this end, the program implemented a range of activities over a four-year period geared twoards: - Enabling businesses to compete more effectively in the global economy
- Assisting goverment institutions and agencies to adopt and implement international treaty regulations that will provide a supportive environment for business growth and competition
- Enhancing public-private sector interaction and dialogue, leading to improved public policy
- Increasing civil society's understanding of the challenges and opportunities of their participation in a global economy
- Increasing the region's resilience to natural disasters
| Project Tasks | As part of the COTS assignment, ILS provided the following deliverables: - Reviewed of the three land agencies taht interface on land registration
- Drafted recommendations for reform of administrative processes, including specific recommendations for streamlining and rationalization of functions of the three main Government agencies involved, including consolidating/integrating/eliminating functions from some agencies
- Reviewed ICT processes in use by the three land agencies, and recommendations for reform
- A training needs analysis and capacity building plan based on identified needs, in support of the recommended reforms
- Delivered a reform Implemenation Plan and timeline
